Technical Document
Crude Coconut Oil is extracted from copra (dried coconut kernel) through mechanical pressing or solvent extraction, retaining its natural coconut aroma and high saturated fat content (90-92%). With its characteristic white-yellow color and solid texture at room temperature, it serves as the base material for RBD coconut oil production or, when cold-pressed, as virgin coconut oil for traditional cooking and specialty foods. Rich in medium-chain fatty acids and vitamin E, it requires refining for most commercial applications due to impurities (FFA 0.5-5%). Ideal for oleochemical derivatives or regional cuisine where its robust flavor is desired.
