Crude Canola Oil is the unrefined first-press oil extracted from canola seeds through mechanical pressing or solvent extraction, followed by degumming. With its amber color and nutty aroma, it serves as the essential feedstock for producing refined canola oil, containing beneficial vitamin E but requiring purification (FFA 0.5-2%) for food use. Primarily destined for industrial refining into edible oil or biodiesel, it offers a heart-healthy fatty acid profile that's preserved through subsequent processing. Strict storage controls (nitrogen blanketing, ≤40°C) maintain quality before refining.
